Max and I visited with the Hash Knife Pony Express riders when they galloped into town on Friday, February 1, 2013.
The statue is in a round about in an upscale outdoor mall. We used free public parking in an underground parking garage a hundred yards from the statue. It was easy.
Watching the riders gallop in was thrilling, and the wait before hand was fine as members of the Hash Knife outfit are waiting. They answer questions and are great with the kids. They have souvenirs and educational material available for purchase (but they didn’t take credit cards, so I was out of luck!).
Do you want to have your letters delivered by the Pony Express? Address an envelope to yourself or a friend or relative, affix a first-class postage stamp, and write “via Pony Express” in the lower left corner.

And if you are local, by all means, come out to see them, and bring a friend. Tell them I sent you.
